We are thrilled to announce that the third edition of the “Criminal Intelligence – New Trends in Analysis Conference 2024” (CINTiA 2024) will be held on September 24-26, 2024 in Krakow.
About the CINTiA 2023 Conference
The second edition of the international analytical conference “Criminal Intelligence – New Trends in Analysis Conference 2023” (CINTiA 2023) is already in the books! It was a meeting of LEAs, industry and academia. The event organised by PPHS, the AGH University of Science and Technology, and the European CYCLOPES project was held on September 19-21, 2023 in Krakow, Poland.
The participants were able to familiarise yourself with innovative solutions and research results presented during the:
- Conference panel
- Workshops
- Exhibition
CINTiA 2023 consisted of two panels: scientific and practical. The first one focused on presentations of the results of research, including indication of trends and direction of development of the area which is the subject of the conference. During the practical panel, suppliers of modern technologies presented their latest solutions in the field of:
- LEA, Defence and Intelligence Analysis
- Lawful Interception and Criminal Investigation
- Social Network Monitoring, Artificial Intelligence and Analytics
- Threat Intelligence Gathering and Cyber Security
- Intelligence DarkWeb, Bitcoin, Altcoin and Blockchain Transaction
- Digital Forensics
The aim of the conference was to enable knowledge and experiences transfer between representatives of agencies, providers of tools for conducting criminal analysis and representatives of the world of science. By participating in the presentations of new technologies and becoming familiar with the results of research, representatives of LEAs gained knowledge that will allow them to improve their criminal analysis process. This enhanced the overall level of public safety. On the other hand, feedback from officers on the presented solution will allow companies to better adapt their offer to the expectations of end users in the future.
The conference was addressed to both representatives of the services responsible for security and scientists who deal with criminal intelligence and analysis in their daily work. For these groups, participation in CINTiA 2023 was free of charge. Due to the international nature of the event, the organizers provided simultaneous interpretation from English into Polish.

The Polish Platform for Homeland Security brings together representatives of services responsible for public order who, together with security and science practitioners, develop modern technologies and support legal solutions aimed at enhancing the level of security. The basis for cooperation is joint performance of national and European R&D projects. The PPHS supports the exchange of knowledge between uniformed services and the world of science at the Polish and European level. The AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow is a modern state university which develops collaboration with colleges and universities in Poland, Europe, and all over the world. The university’s priority is the accomplishment of tasks and projects that are part of the knowledge triangle: education – scientific research – innovations. The AGH University of Science and Technology is a technical university where exact sciences are strongly represented, and where they constitute basis for the development of a wide spectrum of applied sciences at a gradually increasing role of social sciences and humanities. In line with global trends, the AGH creates new branches of study, but at the same time the university keeps the conventional ones, which are indispensable for a proper development of science, technology, and the economy.
CYCLOPES is 5 years initiative coordinated by the Polish Platform for Homeland Security. The project develops the European network of practitioners fighting cybercrime. The main aim is to establish a network of different stakeholders across Europe, with a wide range of experience in the field of fighting cybercrime. The network, in addition to identifying capability gaps and requirements and sharing best practices, will focus on the ongoing dialogue with industries and academia who are delivering products and conducting research on solutions that help fight cybercrime.
